1890 Treasury Notes are special for many reasons. Not only are they some of the most beautiful notes to have ever been printed on an intaglio printing press but they are also inherently rare. With a design change within a year’s time, the Treasury Notes of 1890 quickly became the much plainer Series of 1891 Treasury Notes. Fortunately for us, we still have a handful of high-grade examples of the 1890 Ornate Backs to celebrate and revere. At this level, this note screams value and will make the next owner of this rare note very happy.
