$100 1914 red seals are rare. According to my calculations, the $100 red seal is nearly 6 times rarer than its more common blue seal counterpart. A quick review of the population report will reveal that there are only a handful examples known for each Friedberg number / district. A deeper inspection will also reveal that PMG has only graded 9 examples for this catalog number none of which graded with the EPQ modifier. And this note literally stands out from the rest with its bright red seal, pleasing margins, exceptional eye appeal and as such is recognized as the FINEST KNOWN example graded by PMG.
