Description / 1891-CC $5 Liberty PCGS MS62 PQ
1891-CC $5 Liberty PCGS MS62 PQ - a remarkable piece of American numismatic history that embodies the charm and legacy of the Carson City Mint, which began striking coins in 1870, during heyday of the Comstock Lode. The present specimen is graded MS62 by PCGS, and exhibits exceptional surfaces for the assigned grade.
This example came to us from a collection that was put back in the 1970s, and was graded very conservatively at PCGS, with a handful of light bagmarks and a few barely perceptible hairlines accounting for the grade. If originality and quality are your goal, you could hardly do better than this half eagle.
