Today, Dr. Kagin is the nation's number one numismatic advisor. He serves as consultant for governments, banks and trust departments, money managers, and financial planners seeking to implement or build a numismatic collection or investment program, or to dispose of a collection. He has also been called upon to lecture at annual conventions of the International Association of Financial Planner, the IAFP World Congress, the International Monetary Conference, conventions of Certified Accountants, and other seminars within the financial community.
His nationally acclaimed one-man shows, "The Oldest Living Pioneer" and "Colonial Man" are considered among the most innovative and entertaining educational programs ever presented.
As president of Kagin's, the nation's second oldest and one of the most renowned numismatic firms with offices in San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Kagin not only travels extensively promoting numismatics, but is also involved with day-to-day developments in the industry, including the renovation of the Old San Francisco Mint Museum.
JUDITH L. KAGIN
Judith Kagin, our paper currency specialist, began her numismatic career at a very young age. Born into this family, she was called upon to sort and grade wheat cents, find all the silver quarters in 1964, stuff and mail numerous auction catalogues, and other demanding tasks. After graduating from college, she explored exciting careers at Pinkerton's and in State and Federal government. She also continued to work on and off in the family business in various production, marketing and sales areas. However, once Judy discovered the world of paper money, she was hooked. Since 1988 she has been a full time numismatist specializing in US Currency.
Judy has been a guest on both television and radio investment programs, a featured speaker at conferences sponsored by the International Association of Financial Planners, and has spoken at numerous numismatic conventions and coin club meetings. She was recently chosen to present the Currency section of the Girl Scout Coin Collecting Badge. She is a consultant to banks and reference books, and a frequent contributor to the Currency Dealer Newsletter. She holds membership in the Professional Currency Dealers Association, and is a Life member of the Society of Paper Money Collectors (SPMC) and a Life Member of the American Numismatic Association (ANA). Judy was the 2002 recipient of the National Silver Dollar Roundtable's Woman of the Year award.
ARTHUR M. KAGIN
